Meet Nia & Drew!
Nia
Nia is a 12-year-old girl with a heart full of energy and creativity. She met her best friend, Drew, while she was a patient at Children’s National. Together they've made lots of fun memories going to Bingo in Seacrest Studios, and Family Learning Events, and activities in the Healing Garden at Children’s. Nia has many talents and hobbies! She loves sports, especially soccer, and always cheers for her favorite team, thePrimer League. She also loves skateboarding, and is always eager to try new tricks or improve her skills. When she’s not playing soccer or skateboarding, Nia loves to unwind by knitting cozy sweaters and hats for her pet turtle, Shelly. Whether she’s scoring goals or making something special, Nia’s bright spirit shows in everything she does.
Drew
Drew is a 12-year-old boy who loves cooking, movies, and spending time with his best friend, pet opossum, Tater. Drew’ became friends with Nia when they met as patients at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and their friendship has been full of adventures and laughter ever since. At home, Drew enjoys whipping up new recipes, mixing different flavors, and sharing meals with his family, especially his baby brother, who always makes him smile. Whether he’s cooking something delicious, watching a movie, or hanging out with Nia and Tater, Drew's cheerful personality and creativity always light up the room.
