Meet Nia & Drew!
Nia
Nia is a 12-year-old girl with a heart full of energy and creativity. She met her best friend, Drew, while a patient at Children’s National. Together they've shared countless memories attending Bingo in Seacrest, and Journeys FLEs in the Healing Garden at Children’s. Nia’s passions are as varied as her talents. She's a huge fan of sports, especially soccer, always supporting her favorite Primer League team, Arsenal and skateboarding, always eager to try new tricks or perfect her shots. When she’s not on the field or the board, Nia loves to unwind by knitting cozy sweaters and hats for her pet turtle, Shelly. Whether she’s scoring goals or crafting, Nia’s spirit shines through in everything she does.
Drew
Drew is a 12-year-old boy with a love for cooking, movies, and spending time with his best friend, Tater, a playful opossum who’s always by his side. Drew’s bond with his best friend Nia began when they met as patients at Children’s National Hospital, and since then, their friendship has been full of adventures and laughter. At home, Drew enjoys whipping up new recipes, experimenting with different flavors, and sharing meals with his family, including his baby brother, who always brings a smile to his face. Whether he’s cooking up something delicious, watching a movie, or hanging out with Nia and Tater, Drew's creativity and kindness shine through.
